This Privacy Policy ("Policy") describes how 17322518 CANADA INC. ("Company," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, discloses, and safeguards your personal information when you use the Clarido application and related services (the "Service"). By using the Service, you consent to the practices described in this Policy.
1. What Data Leaves Your Device (and Why)
We send only the data needed to provide and improve the Service. Your data is associated with your account so the Service can sync, back up, and restore your content across sessions.
- Account and access: email, name, and basic profile for sign-in, sync, and subscriptions.
- Content and files: notes, journal entries, scratchpad content, voice uploads, transcriptions, and attachments for storage and recall.
- Voice transcription: real-time microphone audio is streamed to Deepgram for speech-to-text conversion; key terms from your personal glossary may be sent alongside audio to improve transcription accuracy. Audio is not stored by the transcription provider.
- Text-to-speech: when you use the listen feature, message text is sent to Deepgram for conversion to audio. The resulting audio file is cached in our cloud storage tied to your account.
- Derived representations: summaries, entities, embeddings, and related text that power search, recall, and context features; stored with your account until you delete them.
- AI features: text derived from your content is sent to Google (Gemini) and, when unavailable, to Anthropic (Claude) to generate contextual replies and recommendations. These providers process your data only to fulfill in-app requests and are contractually prohibited from using it for their own training.
- Analytics and diagnostics: feature usage, performance data, crash reports, device model, OS version, app version, timezone, and locale to identify and fix bugs. We use PostHog for analytics and error tracking, which may include session replay (recordings of app interactions) to help us reproduce and resolve reported issues.
- Install attribution: we use AppsFlyer to understand how users discover Clarido. AppsFlyer receives a device identifier, your anonymized user ID, and in-app event names (such as registration or subscription) for attribution and campaign measurement. AppsFlyer does not receive the content of your notes, voice recordings, or other User Content.
- Push notifications: device push tokens plus device model, OS version, timezone, and locale to deliver notifications reliably.
- Live Activities: when you start an action, your action title, countdown timer, and progress may be displayed on your lock screen and Dynamic Island via iOS Live Activities. Live Activity updates may be delivered via push notification.
- Engagement notifications: we may send proactive push notifications based on your app activity (such as action timers, idle periods, or completed actions) to help you stay on track. Notification opens are tracked via analytics.
- Telemetry relays: limited in-app telemetry (such as notification opens) may be forwarded to internal operations channels to monitor delivery.
- Hosting, storage, and backups: account data, files, and derived data are stored on managed cloud infrastructure for reliability and recovery.
