How to make a text wallpaper

  1. Choose a template. Search or browse by theme: Bible verses, affirmations, reminders, motivation, and more.
  2. Type your words. Fewer than about eight words are easiest to read at a glance. For a list, put each reminder on its own line.
  3. Customize if you like. Change the style, font, color, or background. The preview shows the clock so you can see what it will cover.
  4. Download and set it. Save the PNG to Photos, then add it as a new lock screen.

Is the wallpaper maker free?
Yes. You can make and download as many wallpapers as you like without an account. The image is yours to use.
What size is the wallpaper?
Each download is a 1290 × 2796 PNG, the screen size of the largest current iPhones. iOS scales it to fit smaller iPhones, and it also works on most Android phones.
Do you save what I type?
No. The wallpaper is drawn in your browser, and your words are never sent to our servers.
How do I set it as my lock screen?
Save the image to Photos. Then touch and hold your lock screen, tap +, choose Photos, select your wallpaper, and tap Add.
Why is my text in the middle of the screen?
The top of an iPhone lock screen shows the date and clock, and the bottom corners hold the flashlight and camera buttons. The maker keeps your words in the space between, so nothing covers them.
Can my wallpaper update when my words change?
